Klavdia presents “Asteromata”, the song that will represent Greece at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, through a visually stunning music video released by Arcade Music and Panik Records.
With a cinematic aesthetic and clear influences from Greek tradition, “Asteromata” comes to life on screen in a video that artistically captures the song’s lyrics and emotions.
Directed by the talented George Mpenioudakis, the music video masterfully conveys the song’s symbolism, focusing on separation in all its forms. The visuals, reminiscent of paintings, were filmed in Kozani and at the iconic Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, featuring Greece’s natural landscape and the sea as key elements. The result is a three-minute “film” with high cinematic standards, translating the song’s meaning into a poetic visual narrative.
At the heart of the video stands the figure of a mother waiting tearfully, while various characters face moments of farewell. A young girl discovering a feather symbolizes arrival, hope, and the future—mirroring the cycle of life itself.
Through her presence and emotive performance, Klavdia embodies these messages, connecting the figures in the video with a universal sense of longing and recognition.
“Asteromata”, composed by Arcade and Klavdia, with lyrics by Arcade, will compete in the second Eurovision semi-final on May 15 in Basel, Switzerland.
